In this project I focused on repurposing old forgotten files. I had a few voice memos of me playing piano from awhile back that that inspired me to see how far I could cut them up and mix them together until they were unrecognizable from the originals. Often I would take a completed remix, export it and remix it again. This process forced me to get creative with how I approach sampling and taught me a lot about manipulating sounds using my computer. For the cover art I took a similar approach. I had some old photos I had taken earlier in the year of ice that I printed and collaged together. Just like the voice memos cut them up, copy and pasted them until something new came forth.
